From Grindelwald, take the Grindelwald - Pfingstegg cable car. It's a short walk from that station. Alternatively, there is technically a route you can walk/hike up if you choose.

It's more smooth than it is bumpy, definitely. I don't recall any jarring instances. But, I can't speak for how sensitive each individual may be to bumps. You can also observe others (and talk to them) before committing if you want to be extra sure. It's beautiful up there regardless of whether you go on a toboggan run.

YES. It's not as bad as catless; however, there is a notable smell compared to the stock dp. This was something that surprised me as I was expecting higher flow while maintaining no smell. I've asked around, and apparently, a bit more smell with high flow catted downpipes is normal - just not as much as catless, obviously.

There was no CEL for the ~50 miles that I drove it before I was tuned. However, this DP does not guarantee no CEL. If you want a company-backed guarantee that you won't get a CEL, you'll have to go with the Active Autowerke DP (that has a 400 cell cat vs. the 200 cell cat in this CG Precision DP).

@@chrisginoc Flash tuning platforms like MHD, BM3, and Ecutek remove the CEL due to installing a high-flow catted or catless downpipe, yes. Of course, there are other things that can ultimately trigger a CEL, but regarding installing an aftermarket downpipe, yes, MHD and BM3 tunes will prevent a CEL in this case.

There are claims from untuned Supra owners that the CG catted downpipe does not throw a CEL. However, CG does not guarantee this. If you want to be guaranteed to not receive a CEL when swapping the downpipe, you'll want to buy a catted downpipe from a company that offers a guarantee, like Active Autowerke.

The only DP I know of that *guarantees* no CEL is Active Autowerke. While there may be reports of people running this without a CEL, it’s not a manufacturer guarantee to my knowledge. I ran it about 50 miles or so before tuning. No CEL, but being a 200 cell cat vs AA’s 400 cell, I would bet that it may eventually throw a CEL without a tune. I would go AA if you really want certainty that you won’t get a CEL with no tune.

They do. The onboarding process is identical to boarding a normal cruise. More often than not, there are dogs, as well. This applies to disembarking, too. The experience here resembles more of a cruise than a festival, so all US CBP rules apply.

I am pretty sure voice commands can only be activated by pressing the mic button on the steering wheel. Quick Googling of the owner's manual says to push to the button to activate. It's basically iDrive 6, if that helps. Not sure if iDrive 6 had "Hello..." voice commands or if that was iDrive 7+. Never really looked into it to be honest. After setting up my main settings in the car (or any car), all I use is Apple CarPlay.

@@cpalko1000 ok, my m240i has idrive 7 so I think that’s the difference. I dont need to touch the mic button, just say hello bmw (for example), I’m hot and it will turn on the AC. It’ll be interesting if newer models have idrive7 and you can say hello Toyota

I have the fake engine noise coded out, FYI. In normal mode, it’s barely noticeable. Only you would notice the difference. Passengers wouldn’t think anything is done. In sport, it’s a little louder, definitely sounds like it means business, but in an OEM fashion. Can easily carry on a conversation. Being able to carry on a normal conversation in *this* car is a big deal to me, so I’m sensitive to how each mod affects NVH.

Glad it was helpful! Yes, they claim no CEL, but it seems to be a hit or miss with catted downpipes on untuned cars. Even AA's "no CEL guarantee" downpipe with a higher 400 cell cat has thrown CELs on some cars requiring owners to utilize that guarantee to get a new one. I would imagine that having no CEL on most catted downpipes is the norm, but just want to ensure that untuned owners know that there's nothing promising that. FWIW, I did drive ~50+ miles untuned on this downpipe and I did not get a CEL. That's not a lot, but typically one would pop up around that mark.

I was unaware of this downpipe. Looks like a good deal as it's ~$300 cheaper than the CG DP, but I haven't seen anyone running it. If the fitment is good, this may be the best catted option for those running flash tunes (as I'm fairly certain the 200 cell cat will throw a CEL on non-flash-tuned cars).

Thank you! I won’t get a CEL because I have a flash tune, but in your case, I believe Active Autowerke is the only DP that has a “no CEL” guarantee (400 cell cat). I’m fairly certain my CG downpipe would throw a CEL (only 200 cell cat) without a flash tune. If I were you and still wanting to tune a bit, I would go with an AA DP and a JB4. The JB4 is needed to extract all the power that the high flow cat enables. Without the JB4, you’ll only gain sound, a bit of throttle response, and negligible power. 1fastsupra.com offers custom JB4 tunes.

The AA dp has a 400 cell cat and a "no CEL" guarantee. This means that if you're not running a flash tune, you'll probably want the AA dp to keep lights off your dash (even a JB4 won't be able to get rid of the CEL). If you're getting a tune, the CG dp, like you said, is cheaper, but the 200 cell cat will mean that the smell is a bit more apparent than a higher cell cat. Nothing at all like catless, but don't expect it to be odorless either. I knew I was getting a tune, so the "no CEL guarantee" didn't matter. I know there are people running the CG catted DP on E50 trapping 128, so I know the flow is still there despite being catted. I didn't want the crazy catless smell, so the CG downpipe was a good balance between price, flow, and smell for me. And I think it sounds great - no desire for a full exhaust at this time.

100%. With the accompanying tune, you’re gaining 100+ hp. I took 6 tenths off my 1/4 mile and gained 8mph in my trap speed. I also saw -3.38 seconds off my 60-130. Completely different car. With just the downpipe (and no tune/stock tune), you can barely feel a bit of difference in power. There is improved throttle response and sound, of course. With just the downpipe, I gained .64mph in trap speed and took half a second off my 60-130.

@@shiyishong I think only the Active Autowerke catted offers a no CEL guarantee. The AA downpipe has a 400 cell cat while the CG downpipe only has 200 cell. Higher flow for the CG but the higher flowing cat will likely still lead to a CEL on this platform.

Yes, you can reduce the burbles with the Ecutek app. I believe you can also do this with MHD. Both require a flash, and therefore, an unlocked ECU.

@@cpalko1000 thanks. I’m shooting for a ‘23 and saw your post on mkv so I was just curious. Supposedly the later models have less pops etc. I wonder how the ‘23 will come.

Look up any stock exhaust videos for 2021+ Supras, and that should give you an idea. If you get a 2023 model and want to adjust burbles, you’ll have to get the ECU unlocked which (currently) requires that it take a trip overseas. 2021+ models are a bit toned down from the 2020 models in terms of pops and bangs, but they’re definitely still there.

Happy to help! The helicopters are available in different sizes. Ours fit 5 including the pilot. Yes, we had both our photographer and videographer come, and that was five including the pilot. There are larger helicopters but it’s going to cost you. Additionally, if you want more people “at your wedding” but not necessarily along for the ride at the same time, the helicopter can make multiple trips to get everyone out to the location, but there’s a cost for time. Joe at Chugach Peaks Photography (check the video description) will literally answer any question you have. He’s very experienced in organizing these elopements - not just taking photos. Contact him, and he will get everything sorted out for you. The sooner the better, of course!
